Unexpected Help
Christi, Scott, and Jason attend Boston School for The Deaf. They have been great friends since ninth grade and now are in eleventh. They communicate by using sign language and are also good at reading lips... They often go to Pat's diner on the east side of town at lunchtime and after school..."Guys," Christi signed. "Have you noticed that guy at the pay phone?" They both turned. She hit both of their hands, gave them a harsh look and signed: "Not all at once."
Jason signed: "What are we looking at, besides a man making a phone call?"
"It's not that he's making a phone call," signed Christi. "It's what he's saying. Jason you look and tell us what you read." Jason focused on his lips and he translated what was going on "Why can't we meet like usual about the robberies?" They took turns watching for another few minutes trying to get more clues. Christi translated the last bit of information. "It looks like he said there are going to be two robberies; one this week and then one next month. He's coming back here Wednesday at 3pm to get last minute instructions for next week."... "Hey, I've been reading about the unsolved bank robberies all over Boston," signed Scott.
